Man of the Year (Italian: Homo Eroticus, also known as Husband, Italian Style) is a 1971 Italian commedia sexy all'italiana directed by Marco Vicario.
The film was a blockbuster at the Italian box office.
This classy sexy comedy has many assets : plenty of incredibly gorgeous starlets and actresses, the urban setting of Bergamo, interiors which combine baroque and renaissance palaces with plastic age furniture, a glossy cinematography and a groovy score. Of course all the ladies are captivated, and the husbands much less.
The plot is mildly amusing : a young Sicilian arrives in Bergamo, is hired as a chauffeur/butler, and very soon it is discovered he has three of them ... Unless most of those comedies, this one was obviously big budgeted.
